A Love Letter to ECUSTA: Pancakes, Dorm Life, and Unbreakable Bonds
Dearly beloved, this might be our cliché story, but we feel privileged enough to write a true love letter to our dearest school, ECUSTA.
"If we could collectively describe our experience, it would simply be love at first sight."
Love at First Sight
The first day we all met was dreamy, maybe even a little comical. From small, awkward encounters like putting our belongings into our dorm closets while giving each other shy smiles, to asking where everyone was from, to talking all night about everything like we had known each other in another life. That first evening we went to get dinner at the café, and there was never a dull moment after that. Every single day became a journey toward something exciting.
We truly appreciate our college because where else could all of this happen except in our heavenly dorm room? We do not mean this lightly. What makes it so special, you might ask? Strap in for a tour of the things we adore about this campus.
The Highlights of Our Campus Experience
- Tuesday Breakfast: Without any exaggeration, Tuesday morning breakfast is legendary. Which other college feeds you pancakes paired with fresh juice made from amazing fruits? If you ever saw us looking moody on a Tuesday, it simply meant we missed our favorite breakfast. It comes with the challenge of waking up early, but you have to sacrifice something for greatness!
- Dorm Movie Nights: Gathering for movie nights with snacks rummaged from every nook and cranny of our dorm is an absolute staple. Since the compound is so gigantic, we often prefer finding hidden or forgotten treats in our cozy room. The scenery on campus is out of this world whether you walk around inside or grab snacks outside. (Side note: We even hosted a special movie night on Christmas!)
- An Incredible Community: Everyone here is remarkably kind, including every single staff member. We have yet to encounter a bad attitude at ECUSTA. Shout out to everyone on campus for making it feel like home!
Looking Back and Moving Forward
As this year comes to an end, we realize just how far we have come. We have learned so much along the way: most importantly, that life always has something wonderful in store for each of us, and we should keep moving forward no matter how scary things might seem.
