As a Lasallian institution, service to the poor and social justice are at the core of our identity. ECUSTA HLI is not an ivory tower; we are deeply embedded in the Addis Ababa community, working to improve lives through health and social interventions.
Medical Missions
Our MD and MLT students, supervised by faculty, conduct free health screening camps in rural kebeles. Services include blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, and hygiene education.
Social Work Field Practicum
Our Social Work department partners with over 30 NGOs and community organizations. Students spend hundreds of hours assisting vulnerable populations, including street children and the elderly.
